Bourbon

Omija syrup

Ginger ale

Step 1
Fill a highball glass generously with ice.
Step 2
Pour the bourbon and omija syrup over the ice.
Step 3
Top up with ginger ale.
Step 4
Stir gently once, just to combine the ingredients without losing carbonation.
Step 5
Garnish with a thin slice of fresh ginger or a piece of candied ginger.

- Jigger / Measuring cup
- Bar spoon or a thin stirring stick (optional, gently swirling the glass also works)
- Knife (if using fresh ginger for garnish)
Pro tip:
The key to an excellent highball is for it to be very cold and fizzy. Chill the glass beforehand if you have time, and pour the ginger ale slowly down the side of the glass or over the back of a bar spoon to retain as much carbonation as possible. The quality of the ginger ale is also important.
